National Express West Midlands

National Express is advising Bloxwich bus passengers to double check their services, as road works on the High Street will cause diversions from this weekend.

From Sunday 25 July, Bloxwich High Street will be closed to all northbound traffic for around eight weeks. National Express West Midlands has diverted services 301, 301E, 302 and 29 to help ease disruption to passengers.

Nick Newcombe, Area Manager for National Express West Midlands, said: "We’d like to remind passengers that some services in Bloxwich will be diverted from Sunday as a result of road works on the High Street. These diversions aim to minimise disruption for customers and we’d like to thank people in advance for the patience they always show during unavoidable service changes."

Passengers travelling from Walsall to Bloxwich can still get there directly via the 301E service. This will depart every 12 minuets throughout the day from stand J - it is the only service which will provide a direct connection from Walsall to Bloxwich during the road works. 

The following services will be affected during the road works:

Service 301 Walsall - Bloxwich - Mossley 
(Sunday to Saturday)

On the outbound journey, service 301 will still serve ASDA on Bloxwich High Street then divert down Elmore Green road. A temporary bus stop will be erected outside Jewson's to allow passengers to reach the Markets. Passengers wishing to travel to Mossley Estate from Bloxwich can catch the bus from ASDA, Elmore Green Road or Jewson's.

Service 301E Walsall - Bloxwich 
(Monday to Friday between 06.15 and 18.00 & Saturday Between 10.00 and 17.00, no service on Sunday)

Service 301E will operate every 12 minutes from stand J in Walsall bus station and travel direct to Bloxwich High Street. The service will be diverted along Field Road into North Bloxwich.

Service 302 Walsall - Bloxwich - Mossley - Lower Farm 
(Sunday to Saturday)

Service 302 will operate every 12 minutes from stand J in Walsall bus station and will be diverted off Bloxwich Road, along Field Road and into North Bloxwich and then onto Lower Farm. The return journey will divert at North Bloxwich to travel along Lichfield Road, Field Road and The Pinfold before returning to normal route.

Service 29 Walsall - Blakenall - Bloxwich 
(Sunday to Saturday)

Service 29 will operate in reverse of the normal circular route from Field Road.

The new route will be: Ingram Road, then (in an anticlockwise direction) Field Road, Lichfield Road, Bloxwich High Street (Southbound), The Pinfold, Field Road, back down Ingram Road on onto normal route.
