16-18 year olds, in full time education who live within the West Midlands County can purchase Young Persons and Term Plus Travel Cards as long as they obtain a 16-18 Photocard.

Even though Travel West Midlands do not issue these Photocards you may find the following useful.

Eligibility:
You must be under 18 on 1st September 2007.
You or your parents must pay council tax to one of the following Metropolitan Borough Councils: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall or Wolverhampton.



Application Forms:
Application forms are available from your school or college from September or visit the Network West Midlands website to download an application form.

Can I buy my Travel Card without a 16-18 Photocard?

Yes, if you buy a Term Plus or Term Plus Metro Add-On during August or September.

As 16-18 Photocards can only be issued after you have returned to school/college in September and Term Plus is available from 10 August 2006, Travel West Midlands normally allows the purchase and use of this travel card without a Centro 16-18 Photocard up until 1 October 2006 provided the customer completes the application process as soon as possible.
After 1 October 2006 Term Plus cannot be used without a valid 16-18 Photocard.

No, if you wish to use one or Four week Young Persons Travel Cards...

16-18s cannot purchase or use 1 and 4 week travel cards without a 16-18 Photocard at any time.
