The following temporary diversions are currently in operation within the West Midlands.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that these diversions may cause you. They are all beyond our control but we are working closely with the local councils and service providers to keep disruption to our services and passengers to an absolute minimum. Thank you for your patience.

Rowley Regis, Oldbury Road (A4034) from Brittannia Road/Station Road junction to Mincing Lane/Penncricket Lane junction

Emergency repairs to burst water main
Services Affected : 129, 404
Wednesday, 10 March 2010 - for up to 3 days


Service 129 will run via Birmingham Road and Rowley Village.

Service 404 will run via Mincing Lane, Bell End, Rowley Village and Birmingham Road.

Oldbury Interchange

Service 87

Buses from Birmingham will run via the normal route to the M5 Motorway Bridge then Broadwell Road, Fountain Lane, Roway Lane to the island then the normal route.

Buses towards Birmingham from the island buses will run via Roway Lane, Fountain Lane and Broadwell Road to the M5 Motorway Bridge then the normal route. 

Service 120

Buses from Birmingham will run via Park Lane, Park Street, Churchbridge and Portway Road to the traffic island continuing to Wolverhampton Road and the normal route.

Buses towards Birmingham will run via the normal route to Florence Road then Brades Road to the island, Shidas Lane, Portway Road and Wolverhampton Road to island, then Park Street and  the normal route.

Services 128 and 129 

Buses from Birmingham: from Oldbury Ringway buses will run via Seven Stars Road, Park Street, Churchbridge, Portway Road to the island and then normal route.

Buses towards Birmingham: from Newbury Lane buses will run via Wolverhampton Road to the traffic island then Park Street, Park Lane and Oldbury Ringway to rejoin the normal route.

Service 238

Buses from West Bromwich will follow the normal route to Sandwell and Dudley Rail Station then run via Broadwell Road, Oldbury Road, Seven Stars Road, Portway Road to the island and then the normal route.

Buses towards West Bromwich will follow the normal route to Shidas Lane then run via Brades Road,  Roway Lane, West Bromwich Road and Fountain Lane  to Bromford Road and the normal route.

Service 404

Buses from West Bromwich will follow the normal route to Sandwell and Dudley Rail Station then run via Broadwell Road, Oldbury Road, Seven Stars Road, Park Street then normal route to Churchbridge.

Buses towards West Bromwich will follow the normal route to Churchbridge then run via Park Street, Park Lane, Seven Stars Road, Oldbury Ringway and Broadwell Road to Bromford Road and the normal route.

Service 688

Buses from West Bromwich will follow the normal route to Sandwell and Dudley Rail Station then run via Broadwell Road, Oldbury Road, Seven Stars Road, Park Street and Portway Road to the island then Shidas Lane and the normal route.

Buses towards West Bromwich will follow the normal route to  Florence Road then run via Brades Road, Roway Lane, West Bromwich Road and Fountain Lane  to Bromford Road and the normal route. 

Birmingham City Centre, Livery Street

Bus stop improvement work (Stop BH)

No diversions are necessary, but services 7, 46 and 101 will not serve stop BH on Livery Street. All services will continue to use stop AF on Colmore Row.

Note: from 28 March 2010 stop AF on Colmore Row will change to stop AE.

Service 111 towards Erdington: from Boldmere Road buses will run via Chester Road to Gravelley Lane and the normal route.

Harborne, High Street / Harborne Park Road Junction

Saturday and Sunday, 27/28 March 2010 - from approximately 1900 on Saturday until 1600 on Sunday


Harborne Park Road will be closed at this location, and 3-way temporary traffic lights will be in place.

Service 11A: from Lordswood Road buses will run via War Lane, Northfield Road, Quinton Road, Harborne Lane to rejoin the normal route.

Service 11C: from Harborne Lane buses will run via Quinton Road, Northfield Road and War Lane to Lordswood Road and the normal route.

Service 29 towards the City Centre: from Harborne Park Road, buses will run via St Mary’s Road, Abbey Road, Metchley Lane and Harborne Road then normal route.

Service 29 from the City Centre is not affected.

Service 88 towards Blackheath will follow the normal route to Wolverhampton Road and Causeway Green Road before continuing into Penncricket Road, then Cakemore Road, Nimmings Road and the normal route.

Service 88 from Blackheath: from Nimmings Road buses will run via Cakemore Road and Penncricket Road to Causeway Green Road.

Service 449 towards Brandhall will follow the normal route to Wolverhampton Road and Causeway Green Road before continuing via Pound Road, Wolverhampton Road and Queensway to Brandhall Interchange and the normal route.

Service 449 from Brandhall: from the Interchange buses will run via Queensway, Wolverhawmpton Road and Pound Road to Causeway Green Road and the normal route.

Buses from the City Centre: from Pershore Street (where buses will use stop GE) buses will run via Sherlock Street, Barford Street and Moseley Street, Moseley Road and Highgate Middleway toCamp Hill Circus and the normal route.

Services 2, 5, 6, 31 from City Centre: from Stratford Road buses will run via Walford Road, Golden Hillock Road and Baker Street to Stratford Road and the normal route.

Service 37 from City Centre: from Stratford Road buses will run via Walford Road and Golden Hillock Road to Warwick Road and the normal route.

Service 2, 5, 6, 31, 37 towards City Centre are not affected.
